Fractions on a number line

My Reflection:
In this task I had to figure where on the number line the number would go for example if there was nothing between 2 and 4 I would have to drag the 3 in between those numbers.
All I had to do was drag the bottom numbers to there place on the number line.
My next step is to try something harder and try to beat the timer.

Cook islands language week - geometry

My Reflection:

In room 23 we learnt about Fibonacci - he was an Italian mathematician who  came up with the number sequence 1,1, 2,3,5,8 and so on. To work out the pattern you have to add the first and last numbers together 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 3+5=8. I also learnt that you can find spirals in nature like flowers, broccoli, and many more also we learnt to make Eis.

In room 24 we learnt about Tivaevae patterns. I discovered that Tivaevae or Tivaivai (Cook Islands Māori: Tivaevae) in the Cook Islands, is French Polynesia and is a form of artistic quilting traditionally done by Polynesian women. We used paper.

In room 22 we made tessellations and it was about making a unique pattern with the shapes but also trying to focus to keep our shapes straight.

I found all these activities hard.

I feel good about how my ei turned out and how my tivaevae, it was so good.

My next step is to learn more stuff about fibonacci.

Matariki square

My Reflection
IALT: draw shapes that involve lines of symmetry.
I found it easy to draw my shapes because I could use the grid lines.
I feel good about my patterns and my outline with the vivid.
My next step is to be creative with my shapes.

Problem solving

My Reflection
WALT: solve word problems.

Rounding

My Reflection

I have been learning to add using rounding.
I found this easy to add up my problems.
I feel good about how I solved the problems.
My next step is to finish my math contract.

Dots

My Reflection IALT to subitise by creating my own dot pattern that focuses on shapes and patterns.
I have been learning to subitise by creating my own dot pattern.
I found this tricky because I couldn't solve them but at the end I did.
I feel good about the patterns I created.
My next step is to give people more challenging dots.

Telling time

My Reflection
I was learning to understand 24 hour time and write the time in numbers (digital) and words.
In this activity I had to tell time.
I think achieved this activity this activity because i finished the whole thing.
My next steps in learning time are to practice telling 24 hour time.

Number squares

My Reflection
I was learning to use my Number knowledge to solve addition  problems.
I found this tricky because i had to count and count and it was confusing.
Next time I will work on better ways to count not counting with my fingers.
