My Reflection:
In room 23 we learnt about Fibonacci - he was an Italian mathematician who came up with the number sequence 1,1, 2,3,5,8 and so on. To work out the pattern you have to add the first and last numbers together 1+1=2, 1+2=3, 3+5=8. I also learnt that you can find spirals in nature like flowers, broccoli, and many more also we learnt to make Eis.
In room 24 we learnt about Tivaevae patterns. I discovered that Tivaevae or Tivaivai (Cook Islands Māori: Tivaevae) in the Cook Islands, is French Polynesia and is a form of artistic quilting traditionally done by Polynesian women. We used paper.
In room 22 we made tessellations and it was about making a unique pattern with the shapes but also trying to focus to keep our shapes straight.
I found all these activities hard.
I feel good about how my ei turned out and how my tivaevae, it was so good.
My next step is to learn more stuff about fibonacci.
